Alessandra Mirra

I graduated in Italian Literature from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 2004, and received a Doctorate in Italianistica from the University of Macerata in 2008. Both these dissertations engaged with specific aspects of Leopardi’s literary and theoretical production. I moved to Philadelphia in 2009, where I earned a Graduate Certificate in Cinema Studies (2013) and a Ph.D. in Italian Studies (2015) from the University of Ƶsylvania. My main research interests are Italian modern and contemporary literature, Cinema studies, and post-humanism.
