Beatrice Basile holds a BA in Modern Languages and Literature from the University of Bologna. In March 2019, she completed her MA听cum laude听at the University of Bologna in Italian Language and Culture for Foreigners.

Her final project focused on Elena Ferrante's Neapolitan Novels and the relationship between the feminist theories emerging from the novels. These include the studies of influential contemporary feminist philosophers such as Luce Irigaray, Luisa Muraro and, Adriana Cavarero.

In 2017-2018 she was a Visiting International Student and Language Assistant in the Italian Department at Wellesley College, MA.

Her main interests are Contemporary Italian Literature, Women and Gender Studies, Queer Studies. She also works on the construction of Female Subjectivity in the contemporary Italian Novel.听
